- Perforated hose

If the breach is small (less than 20 mm) in a tube with a nominal diameter of 32 mm you can use a Clamp Saddle with the same size as the tube, place it with the exit over the breach and cover the exit of the Clamp Saddle with a buffer screw.
If there is a cut on the hose and you cannot use the solution presented previously, you cut off the damaged area so that both extremities acquire a plain, smooth cut and perpendicular to the axis of the tube and use a quick fit joiner with the same size as the tube. This way the length of the part of the tube removed is compensated by the joiner.
In case the damage on the tube is longer than the length of the joiner, you must add a new section of tube. In order to do that, you cut the damaged part of the tube so that both extremities acquire a plain, smooth cut and perpendicular to the axis of the tube. You measure the space between them and cut a new section of tube with the same dimension. Be careful to take into account the length of both quick fit joiners with which you will join both extremities.

To cut the tube you can use a proper scissors for cutting tubes.

To tighten the quick fit parts you can use a proper spanner for that specific purpose.

- Dirty filter

The filter is an essential element of any irrigation system. It is installed in the beginning and its function is to retain all sediments floating on the water which would, otherwise, clog the pipes, sprinklers and drippers.
This way the filtering elements (screen or disc cartridge) of the filter start to obstruct after a time and that causes the reduction of the water flow at the filter exit. Therefore, it is fundamental to clean the filter regularly, dismounting and washing it with clean flowing water and also using a brush.
A way to avoid filter clogging is by keeping a regular preventing maintenance. For that you should place a manometer at the start and another at the end on the pre-installation spots on the filter. Once the pressure at the start and at the end is practically the same, the filter is clean. When the exiting pressure is lower than the pressure at the start in about 0.75 bar (the equivalent to 0.75 kg/cm2) the filter must be cleaned. Without the help from the manometers you should count on your experience to foresee the right time to clean the filter.


- Obstructed irrigation diffusers (sprayers, sprinklers, micro-sprinklers, drippers)

If one of the diffusers has decreased its irrigation performance on a determined spot, not having the normal length of spraying, having irregular water spraying or even not spraying at all, you must dismount the removable parts to proceed to their cleaning or replacement whether in sprayers, sprinklers or drippers. You may have to dismount the tube in order to clean the dirt that mounted in it from the start.
